    The Iranian Shipping and Related Services Association has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Russia’s Caspian International Integration Club “North-South” to enhance mutual cooperation and joint initiatives. This MoU aims to facilitate business operations for Iranian and Russian shipping companies and strengthen maritime economic collaboration between the two nations.

    The agreement was signed by Mr. Masoud Polmeh, Secretary-General of the Iranian Shipping and Related Services Association, and Mr. Dmitry Dubovik, President of the Caspian International Integration Club “North-South.” The MoU outlines a series of joint actions and activities designed to promote maritime-focused economic growth between Iran and Russia.

    Key Highlights of the MoU:

    1. Establishing a Joint Maritime Arbitration and Legal Services Center:
      This center will focus on resolving legal disputes and providing legal consultancy services to Iranian and Russian maritime companies.
    2. Creating a Joint Maritime Trade and Professional Training Center:
      This center will offer specialized training programs for Iranian and Russian maritime trade professionals to enhance their knowledge and skills.
    3. Providing Consultancy Services to Develop the Maritime Business Environment:
      These services aim to facilitate connections between Iranian and Russian maritime companies and address their managerial needs.
    4. Developing a Maritime Commercial and Economic Database:
      This initiative seeks to boost trade and economic collaboration between Iran and Russia by providing accessible maritime industry data.
    5. Efforts to Establish a North-South Corridor Secretariat in Iran:
      The proposed secretariat will aim to improve coordination among member countries of the maritime corridor.

    This agreement marks a significant step in strengthening maritime ties between Iran and Russia, with a focus on fostering economic integration and supporting the development of the North-South Corridor.
