He highlighted Chabahar’s strategic importance as Iran’s only oceanic port and its potential for cargo transport to various regions. Collaborative efforts from all departments and institutions were stressed for the port’s prosperity.
While some infrastructure has been completed, challenges with equipment and financial institutions remain. The Secretary-General also mentioned Indian commitments to invest in Chabahar Port and expressed hope for a long-term contract with executive guarantees.
